This is a documentary about "Ørkenen Sur" and the work Karl Holm did where. Lane Paulsen wrote: "He dedicated his life to helping the down and out in Brooklyn. Most of his time was spent in Red Hook Brooklyn helping fellow Norwegians get back on their feet and getting them into contact with family back home. Most of these shantytown residents were stranded Norwegian sailors with no way to get home to their families."
